Why is it that some University and Royal College degrees quoted above do not appear on the General Dental Council website/register?

The GDC  decided in 2006 that even though they had fully investigated degrees like the MSc in Dental Implants from Warwick University (the first implant qualification they approved and accredited, and the reason Neil enrolled on the course) that it wasn't going to publish any more qualifications that Dentists worked for and earned on the basis that it might 'mislead the public' into thinking that they had more training and expertise than the average Dentist.... The fact that we and our colleagues have worked incredibly hard to be better at what we do and gained the approval of bona-fide academic establishments for doing so apparently doesn't count. If failing to tell the public that we have these qualifications is so that we don't 'mislead the public' into thinking we have any greater knowledge and training than those who havent then somehow I have missed the point of the GDC's role in 'protecting the public'. Please feel free to look our qualifications up with the relevant academic institutions; we haven't bought them off the internet; they took us a lot of time, money and hard work; we are proud of them!!
